Section 22 in THE THUNCHATH EZHUTHACHAN MALAYALAM UNIVERSITY ACT, 2013
22. The Faculties- (1) The University shall have the following Faculties, namely:-
(1)Faculty of Malayalam Language Studies;(2)Faculty of Literature;(3)Faculty of Arts;(4)Faculty of Heritage Studies;(5)Faculty ofTraditional Knowledge System; and(6)Such other Faculties as may be prescribed.(2)Each Faculty shall set up Schools in such areas of study as may be prescribed andeach School shall have a Director to manage the affairs of the School.(3)Every school shall offer the courses of study as may be prescribed.(4)The Dean shall be the Chairman of the Faculty under him and he shall beresponsible for the study and research programmes in the Schools in the Faculty. The Deanshall be responsible for the conduct of the academic and administrative matters pertaining tothe students and teachers of the Schools under each Faculty, including conduct of teaching ,research and examination.(5)In carrying out the academic work and research programme in his Faculty, theDean shall be guided by the Faculty Advisory Committee and the Research Council.
