Section 142(a) in U.P. Building And Other Construction Workers (Regulation Of Employment And Conditions Of Service) Rules, 2009
(a)The employer shall ensure at a construction site of a building or other construction work that the pressure plant and equipment -(i)are examined and tested by the competent person before being put in use for such work;(ii)is of proper design and construction, sound material and adequate strength to perform the work for which it is used;(iii)is properly maintained in good repairs and working condition.
