(1)Subject to rules made under section 67, for areas notified under section 58, the Government shall appoint for any village, or part of village, or more than one village an Irrigation Patwari.(2)Such Irrigation Patwaris shall be liable to be transferred as Irrigation Patwaris to any other area within the area to which this Act extends notified under section 58.(3)All Irrigation Patwaris shall be deemed to be Government servants within the meaning of clause (9) of section 21 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (Central Act 45 of 1860).
