Section 27(1) in The Orissa Co-operative Societies Rules, 1965
(1)The President or in his absence the Vice-President of the Society, if such an appointment is provided in the Bye-Laws shall preside over the meeting of the General Body. If both are absent the members present shall elect one from amongst themselves to be the President of the meeting.
