Section 221(1) in The City of Nagpur Corporation Act, 1948
(1)The [Commissioner] [This word was substituted for the words 'Chief Executive Officer' by Bombay 79 of 1958, Section 3, Schedule.] may, by notice, require the owner of any building or land in any street to put up and keep in good condition proper troughs and pipes for receiving and carrying water and sullage from the land or building and for discharging the same so-as not to inconvenience persons passing along the street.
