Information Commissioner : Shri Sharat Sabharwal This matter pertains to an RTI application dated 19.11.2013 filed by the Appellant, seeking information on three points regarding Chaudhary Brothers Petrol Pump. Not CIC/SH/A/2014/000524 satisfied with the response of the Respondents, he filed second appeal dated 26.2.2014 to the CIC, which was received by the Commission on 5.3.2014.
2. The Respondents submitted that pointwise response was provided to the Appellant on 27.11.2013. The Appellant was advised to inspect the documents (except financial details, PAN number, property details of third party), if he was an applicant for the location allotted to M/s Chaudhary Brothers. We are of the view that inspection can be allowed to the Appellant even if he was not an applicant for the location. The Appellant was not present, in spite of a written notice having been sent to him, to plead his case.
3. In view of the foregoing, intervention by the Commission is not required in this case.
4. With the above observations, the appeal is disposed of.
5. Copies of this order be given free of cost to the parties.
