Section 24(1) in The Himachal Pradesh Municipal Corporation Act, 1994
(1)The President may, by writing under his hand addressed to the Vice-President, resign his office.[Provided that if the office of the Vice-President is vacant then the President may submit his resignation to the Deputy Commissioner of the district.] [After sub-section 1 & 2 proviso inserted vide Act No. 12 of 2010]
