- There shall be an Executive Officer in each Municipal Council and Nagar Panchayat :Provided that the Government may, if it thinks necessary so to do, direct that an Executive Officer of a Municipal Council or a Nagar Panchayat as the case may be, shall also act as an Executive Officer of another Municipal Council or Nagar Panchayat.
