(2B)If the President fails to place the budget before the Standing Committee or call a meeting of that Committee by the dates specified under sub-section (2A), the Collector shall, on receipt of an intimation to that effect from the Chief Officer or a Councillor, or suo motu, cause the budget to be prepared and placed before the Standing Committee through the Chief Officer, as soon as possible, at a meeting called by the Collector for that purpose.] [Sub-sections (2-A) and (2B) were inserted by Maharashtra 4 of 1974, Section 22(1)(b).]
