	 Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of   mandamus to direct the 1st respondent to dispose the appeal dated 25.1.2017 filed by the petitioner within a time frame.

ORDER 

Mr.E.Balamurugan, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents 1 and 2. By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 25.1.2017, filed by him, within a time frame.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner has preferred the appeal as early as on 25.01.2017, the 1st respondent, has not disposed of the same yet.

5. Mr.E.Balamurugan, learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that the 1st respondent may be directed to dispose of the appeal, in accordance with law, after giving notice to all the interested parties.

6. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal preferred by the petitioner on 25.01.2017, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving notice to all the interested parties. With the above observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
