29. Fixation of pay when pay of post is revised.
- Whenever the pay scale of a post is revised, the pay of a teacher, unless provided otherwise specifically in the pay revision orders shall be fixed at a stage to the stage of the pay last drawn by him, and if there is no such stage at the next lower stage plus personal pay equal to the difference to be absorbed in future increments provided that he may at his option retain his old pay scale until the date on which he has earned his next or any subsequent increment in the old scale, or until he vacates his post or ceases to draw pay on that time scale. The option once exercised shall be final.
