Section 88(4)(b) in The Maharashtra Irrigation Act, 1976

(b)any rent or instalment thereof payable to the owner of the field channel which is not paid when it becomes due may, on behalf of the owner, be recoverable as an arrear of land revenue in accordance with the provisions of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966.
