Section 83 in The Maharashtra Medical Council Rules, 1967

83. Termination of services.

(1)The Council may terminate the services of any employee other than the Registrar after due enquiry giving such employee fair opportunity to explain as to why his services should not be terminated. The Council may also impose any other minor penalty on any employee other than the Registrar after giving such employee a show cause notice;Provided that, it shall be lawful for the Council to terminate the services of its employee who is appointed on a purely temporary basis and who has given an under-taking that his services are liable to be terminated at any time without notice and without assigning any reason.
(2)In case of serious default by any employee other than the Registrar, the President may suspend such employee pending a full-fledged enquiry. During the period of suspension, such employee may be paid subsistence allowance according to the provisions of the Bombay Civil Services Rules.
