(a)to provide facilities for, and devise and implement programmes of, education in engineering, technology, basic and applied sciences, humanities, social science and management, architecture and other professional courses keeping in mind the current needs, anticipated changes and projected long term academic, research and industry and societal requirements related to engineering and technology;
