(2)The officer aforesaid may go on board any ship referred to in sub-section (1) and inspect her in order to ascertain whether the provisions of this Act as to the number of [special trade passengers] [ Substituted by Act 69 of 1976, Section 2, for " Unberthed passengers" w.e.f. 1.12.1976).] or pilgrims and other matters have been complied with.
