Date : 20-03-2020 Heard Mr. A. Khanikar, learned counsel for the petitioner. I have also heard Mr. M. Phukan, learned APP, Assam, appearing for the State.

By filing this application under Section 438 of the Cr.P.C., the petitioner is seeking the benefit of pre-arrest bail in connection with Dhakuakhana P.S. Case No. 52/2020 registered under Section 447/326 of the Indian Penal Code.

Call for the case diary along with the injury report. Heard on the prayer of interim relief.

Page No.# 2/2 Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, as an interim measure, it is provided that in the event of his arrest, the petitioner viz. Manik Konwar shall be allowed to go on bail, subject to furnishing a bond of Rs. 30,000/- (Rupees thirty thousand) and one surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the Arresting Authority, subject to the further condition that the petitioner shall appear before the IO and record his statement within 10(ten) days from today. The petitioner shall also not leave the jurisdiction of the Investigating Officer without his prior permission and also report before the concerned I.O. as and when required.

Violation of the above condition may lead to cancellation of the bail. Let this matter be listed again after four weeks.
