Section 24 in The Calcutta Hackney-Carriage Act, 1919
24. Horses to be registered annually. -
Every horse used, or intended to be used, for drawing a hackney-carriage, together with the harness of such horse, shall be annually registered by the Registering Officer at the time and in the manner provided by Chapter II with respect to the registration of hackney-carriages :Provided that the Registering Officer may refuse to register any horse if such horse or its harness appears to him to be unserviceable or unfit for public use.
