                                                  ...for the respondent No.3.

BEFORE:

The Hon'ble JUSTICE SANJIB BANERJEE Date : June 28, 2016.
The Court : The petitioner imported certain goods under five bills of entry between October, 2015 and April, 2016. The goods were provisionally assessed and released to the petitioner upon sufficient security as demanded being furnished by the petitioner.
The present limited complaint of the petitioner is that despite subsequent requests for a final order of assessment to be made, the department has failed to do so.
The department is represented and some time is sought to indicate how soon the final order of assessment may be completed. 2
Since it is evident that the latest provisional order of assessment was made in April, 2016 and the petitioner has demanded the final assessment by several letters, including the latest of May 30, 2016, W.P.No.597 of 2016 is disposed of by directing the respondent No.1 to complete the final assessment in respect of the goods covered by the five bills of entry within three weeks of the receipt of a copy of this order.
There will be no order as to costs.
Urgent certified website copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
(SANJIB BANERJEE, J.) A/s.
