Section 2(1)(f) in The Competition Commission of India (General) Regulations, 2009

(f)"expert" means an expert engaged to assist the Commission under subsection (3) of section 17 of the Act or an expert called upon to assist the Commission in any inquiry or proceeding under sub-section (3) of section 36 of the Act;
