Section 8(1) in Karnataka Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prohibition of Transfer of Certain Lands) Act, 1978
(1)Whoever acquires any granted land in contravention of the provisions of sub-section (2) of section 4 shall, on conviction, be punished with imprisonment which may extend to six months or with fine which may extend to two thousand rupees or with both.
