Section 340 in Gauhati Municipal Corporation Act, 1971
340. Prohibition against use of inflammable material for building, etc. permission.
- No external roof, verandah or wall of building and no shed or fence shall be constructed or re-constructed of cloth, grass, leaves, mats or other inflammable materials except with the permission of the Commissioner, nor shall any such roof, verandah, wall, shed or fence constructed or reconstructed in any year be retained in a subsequent year except with such permission.
