Section 9(4)(i) in Bihar State Universities (Patna, University of Bihar, Bhagalpur and Ranchi) Act, 1960

(i)The Vice-Chancellor shall be paid a salary of two thousand rupees per mensem and shall be provided by the University with a suitable rent-free house for his residence at the headquarters of the University and where the University is unable to provide him with such house shall be paid a sum not exceeding ten per cent of his salary as house rent.
