Section 44(1) in Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University Act, 2008
(1)Every Dean of Faculty shall be appointed by the Vice- Chancellor from among the Professors in the Faculty for a period of three years and he shall be eligible for re-appointment.Provided that if at any time there is no Professor in a Faculty, the Vice-Chancellor shall exercise the powers of the Chairman of the Faculty.
