Section 12(1) in The Bihar Panchayat Raj Act, 2006
(1)The Gram Panchayat shall consist of -(a)The Mukhiya elected under the provisions of this Act;(b)Such number of directly elected members as may be notified from time to time by the District Magistrate and each of such members representing as nearly as possible a population of five hundred of the Panchayat Area.
