Prayer : - Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India pleased to issue a writ of certiorified mandamus or any other writ or order or direction in the nature of writ calling for the records leading to pass the impugned order of the first respondent in rejecting the application form of the petitioner by giving a finding that the application form is "Rejected on the ground of over age (age relaxation proof is not enclosed/Not proper" available on the website of the first respondent and quash the same and to declare that the petitioner is an eligible candidate for the common recruitment for Grade II Police Constables, Jail Wardens and Fireman-2017 conducted by the first respondent and permit the petitioner to write examination and take part in the above selection process.

O R D E R
Mr.K.Venkatramani, learned Additional Advocate General (VII) assisted by Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2. The petitioner has applied for the post of Police Constable pursuant to the advertisement dated 23.01.2017 issued by the respondents. The petitioner belongs to Scheduled Caste community. While making application, he has mentioned that he belongs to Scheduled Caste community. However, his application was rejected on the grounds of overage.
3. When the matter was taken up today, learned Additional Advocate General would submit that the petitioner has not enclosed his community certificate along with the application. Therefore, he was considered as a General candidate and he has crossed the age limit fixed for the General candidate and thus, his application was rejected. However, the petitioner will be within the age limit if he is considered as Scheduled Caste candidate, for which, he has to produce his community certificate.
4. Considering the communal status of the petitioner, the petitioner is directed to approach the respondents with his community certificate by tomorrow (19.05.2017) itself without waiting for the certified copy of this order.
5. The learned Additional Advocate General would submit that he will direct the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner and permit him to write the examination scheduled to be held on 21.05.2017.
6. Recording the submissions made by the learned Additional Advocate General, the respondents are directed to permit the petitioner to appear for the written examination scheduled to be held on 21.05.2017 without insisting for the certified copy of this order.
7. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
