(c)"Sub-Divisional Police-officer" means the Deputy Superintendent of Police or the Assistant Superintendent of Police as may be appointed to remain in charge of a sub-division or a special local area and when no such officer has been appointed, the Circle Inspector of Police having jurisdiction over the area;]
