10. Power of Commissioner to suspend or dismiss or inflict any other punishment on any member of the subordinate ranks of the Police-force
(1)The Commissioner of Police may at any time suspend or dismiss or inflict any other punishment on any member of the subordinate ranks of the police-force whom he shall think remiss or negligent in the discharge of his duty or otherwise unfit for the same.(2)A Police officer shall not by reason of being suspended from office cease to be a Police-officer. During the term of such suspension the powers, privileges and duties conferred or imposed upon him as a Police-officer shall be in abeyance, but he shall continue subject to the same responsibilities, discipline and penalties and to the same authorities, as if he had not been suspended.
