Section 2(1)(iv) in Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Rules, 1996

(iv)"Day" means the calendar day beginning and ending at midnight but an absence from head-quarters which does not exceed 24 hours shall be reckoned as one day at whatever hours the absence beings or ends;
