Section 27(10) in Tamil Nadu Private Colleges (Regulation) Rules, 1976
(10)The Selection Committee shall meet at the head-quarters of the Joint Director of Collegiate Education of the Region concerned or at the Principal's office or at mutually convenient place immediately after the last date of receipt of filled-in applications is over and finalise the selection list based on the reservation as mentioned in rule 25 for the above fifty per cent seats and release the selection list within one week. The list shall be published simultaneously both at the office of Joint Director of Collegiate Education of the Region concerned and at the college. The selected applicant shall be intimated the last date for admission by registered post.
