Section 12A in West Bengal Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation) Act, 1972
12A. [ Power of market committee.] [Inserted by the West Bengal Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation) (Amendment) Act, 1978, section 10.]- Subject to the other provisions of this Act, a market committee may, on inspection and verification, confiscate, in such manner as may be prescribed, scales, weights and measures [in use in a market area] [Substituted for "in use in a market" by the West Bengal Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation) (Amendment) Act, 1981, section 8.] if any of these does not conform to a standard scale, weight or measure, as the case may be.
