Section 249(1) in The Chhattisgarh Municipalities Act, 1961
(1)The Council may, by public notice, prohibit the washing of clothes by washermen in the exercise of their calling, except at such places as it shall appoint for this purpose and when any such prohibition has been made, no person who is, by calling, a washerman shall wash clothes at any place not appointed for this purpose by the Council, except for such person himself or for the owner or occupier of such place.
