Section 11(2) in Gujarat District Mineral Foundation Rules, 2016
(2)The District Mineral Foundation shall also implement the PMKKKY with the following overall objectives:(a)to implement various developmental and welfare projects and programs in areas affected by mining related operations, which projects and programs shall compliment the existing ongoing schemes or projects of State or Central Government;(b)to minimize/mitigate the adverse impacts, during and after mining, on the environment, health and socio-economics of people in mining districts; and(c)to ensure long-term sustainable livelihoods for the people in areas affected by mining related operations.
