Section 2(l) in The Goa, Daman and Diu School Education Act, 1984
(l)"local authority" means -(i)in relation to an area within the local limits of a municipal council constituted under the Goa, Daman and Diu Municipalities Act, 1968, the municipal council concerned;(ii)in relation to an area within the local limits of a Village Panchayat constituted under the Goa, Daman and Diu Village Panchayat Regulations, 1962, the Village Panchayat concerned;
