Section 44(a) in Maharaja Bhupinder Singh Punjab Sports University Act, 2019
(a)the first Vice-Chancellor shall be appointed by the Government in such manner and on such condition as may be deemed fit and the said officer shall hold office for such term not exceeding five years, as may be specified by the Government;
