Section 463(1) in The Calcutta Municipal Corporation Act, 1980
(1)If any existing place for the disposal of the dead at any time appears to be insufficient, the Municipal Commissioner shall, with the sanction of the Mayor-in-Council provide other fit and convenient place for the said purpose, either within or outside Calcutta, and shall cause the same to be registered under the provisions of this Chapter.
