Section 1 in The Assam Embankment and Drainage Act, 1953
1. Short title, extent and commencement.
(1)This Act may be called the Assam Embankment and Drainage Act, 1953.(2)It extends to the whole of Assam.(3)It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may specify by notification in the official Gazette in that behalf.
