Section 34(c) in The Building Regulation in Respect of Lands Covered by the Calcutta Thika Tenancy (Acquisition and Regulation) Act, 1981
(c)if the site is within five metres of a tank, no permission to erect a new building be granted, unless the Municipal Commissioner is satisfied that the applicant shall take such action as will prevent any risk of drainage of the building passing into the tank.
