Section 9(4) in The Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology University Act, 2005
(4)The Chairman shall appoint a Committee consisting of three members, out of whom-(i)one shall be the member of the Ahmedabad Education Society;(ii)one shall be the expert from academics in the field of environmental planning and technology'; and(iii)one shall be the expert from the profession or industry in the field of environment and technology, who shall prepare a panel of three suitable persons suitably ranked for the office of the President. The Chairman shall select one person from the panel and appoint him as the President of the University. The Chairman shall have the authority to ask the panel for additional names, if it does not find any one from the panel of names submitted as suitable for the office of the President.
