Section 9(3) in The Tripura Courts Stenographers' Service Rules, 1983
(3)Vacancies in the Selection Grade of the Service shall be filled by the promotion of persons from the officers of Senior Grade in service who have rendered not less than 5 (five) years of approved service in the Grade:Provided that if any person appointed to Senior Grade of the Service is considered for promotion to Selection Grade in accordance with the provisions of this sub-rule, all persons senior to him in Senior Grade in the cadre shall also be so considered notwithstanding that they may not have rendered 5 (five) years of approved service in that Grade:Provided further that reservation for the officers belonging to Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes shall be made in accordance with such instructions as may be issued by the State Government from time to time.
