Section 251(1)(iv) in The Tamil Nadu Building and other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2006

(iv)hold an enquiry into the cause of an accident or dangerous occurrence which he has reasons to believe was the result of any operation connected with or incidental to such building or other construction work or of non-compliance with any of the provisions of the Act or these rules.
