(2)A casual vacancy in the office of a member referred to in sub-section (1) occurring on account of death, resignation, termination or removal, may be filled up, as soon as may be, and a member so nominated to fill such vacancy shall hold office for the unexpired portion of the term of office of the member whose place he fills.
