287. Withdrawal and transfer of petitions.
- The Director may, at any stage, after notice to parties and for reasons to be recorded withdraw any election petition pending before an authorised officer and transfer it for hearing to another authorised officer in the State and upon such transfer, that authorised officer shall proceed with the petition form the stage at which it was withdrawn :Provided that such authorised officer may, if it thinks fit, recall and re-examine any of the witnesses already examined.
