- A Gram Panchayat may, and if so required by the District Magistrate shall, give public notice that un-licensed pigs or dogs, straying within the specified limits will be handed over to the Animal Protection Committee as prescribed:Provided that if there is any outbreak of epidemic diseases or a situation leading to such outbreak, or endangering to human life due to proliferation of stray dogs and pigs, the Gram Panchayat shall take suitable action to restrain such stray dogs and pigs.
