Section 3 in Indian Medicine Central Council (Post-graduate Siddha Education) Regulations, 2016

3. Aims and objects.

(1)The aim of post-graduate education is acquisition of specialised knowledge in Siddha medicine, producing competent scholars, experts, scientists, teachers, clinicians, physicians, surgeons, obstetricians and gynaecologists in Siddha medicine, pharmaceutical experts and research workers to carry on the work relating to Siddha medicine in Universities, research laboratories and other institutions of higher learning and to create global awareness.
(2)At the post-graduate level of teaching in Siddha medicine namely, Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) Siddha or Master of Surgery (M.S.) Siddha, students are taught about Siddha system of medicine in detail in their respective branches along with elements of modern medicine and also recent methods and advances in modern science and technology related with medical field.
