Section 7(5) in The Jharkhand State Agricultural University Act, 2000
(5)to institute courses of study and hold examinations and confer degree, diplomas, certificates and other academic distinctions on persons who have,-(i)pursued a course of study as prescribed, and(ii)carried out research in a University or institution recognised in this behalf by the University as may be prescribed;
