Section 10(1) in The Collection of Statistics Rules, 2011
(1)Every Department of the Central Government or the State Government or the local governments shall furnish within such time and in such form as required, the list of informants and other information which is available with them, relevant for conducting any statistical survey under these rules to a Statistics officer or any agency or person authorised by the appropriate Government upon receipt of a notice to that effect.
