Section 9(2)(a) in The North Bengal University Act, 1981

(a)The Vice-chancellor shall hold office for a term of four years or till he attains the age of sixty-five years, whichever is earlier, and shall be eligible for re-appointment for another term of four years or till he attains the age of sixty-five years, whichever is earlier, following the porovisions of sub-section (1).
