ORAL
ORDER
1. By this petition filed through jail authority, the petitioner seeks parole for a period of 30 days with a view to make arrangement for the engagement of his youngest daughter.
2. A perusal of the jail record of the petitioner indicates that the petitioner is undergoing life imprisonment for the offences punishable under Section 20(B) read with Section 29 of the NDPS Act. It appears that on two occasions, the petitioner had been enlarged for a period of 3 days each on the occasion of his daughter's marriage and on account of his wife's illness along with police escort. In the present case, the petitioner seeks parole for a period of 30 days. Under the circumstances, considering the nature of the offences for which he has been convicted, this Court is not inclined to grant the relief prayed for in the petition. The petition is summarily dismissed.
