Section 61(10)(t) in The West Bengal Factories Rules, 1958

(t)Exit doorways shall open outwards, that is away from the room but shall not obstruct the travel along any exit. No door, when opened, shall reduce the required width of stairway of landing to less than 90 centimetres sliding door with up-down movement shall not be installed for this purpose.
