Section 18A(1) in Tamil Nadu District Municipalities Act, 1920
(1)(a)The Commissioner shall have the right to attend the meetings of the council or any committee thereof, and take part in the discussions thereat but shall not have the right to move any resolution or to vote.(b)He shall attend any meeting of the council or of any committee, if required to do so by the chairman.
